Cake Industries were approached by George King Architects to provide structural engineering design and fabrication services to create a sculpture for the promenade in Eastbourne.
Based on the competition winning scheme, we developed a design to connect and support sixteen thousand two penny pieces into the form of a flame to commemorate the fire that destroyed Eastbourne pier in 2014.
