Cake Engineering was commissioned to carry out the structural engineering design for two new luxury treehouses and the structural assessment of an existing RIBA Award winning treehouse.
All three structures are supported on screwpiles, located so as to miss the roots of the surrounding trees. Reclaimed timber telegraph poles support the superstructure of the buildings which creates the feeling of being up in the tree canopy. The primary structure is fabricated from SIPs.
