We developed this design for a folded mild steel staircase with solid oak stair treads from the client’s idea for a dual media staircase to his refurbished riverside home. Oak beams were used for the intermediary treads with double rise and treads formed in folded steel. Finishes are minimal – oiled timber and waxed mild steel to retain the wharf-side warehouse aesthetic.
Window screens were also provided, with a laser cut pattern in mild steel to the client’s design. The lower windows are set on standoffs with the smaller square screen let in to the solid oak cladding.
