Folded steel frame with blackened and waxed mild steel handrails, risers and stringer. The treads are constructed from Muhuhu parquet to match the floors in the building.

Staircase 2: Winding stair to basement from the main house with under-stairs wine storage
Designed and built by Cake Industries from birch plywood with blackened steel fascia and handrails. The cabinet work is spray lacquered with LED lighting. The glass floor is set in mild steel frame above to allow natural light in to the stairwell. The grey ceramic tiles where installed on the treads by the main contractor.
