Cake Industries was founded in 2012 by Keefer Erickson and Andy Creed, who brought their complimentary backgrounds in industrial & architectural design, steelwork and cabinet making together to create a firm that bridged the gap. They were joined by David Knight to provide a combined design, structural engineering and fabrication capability.

Keefer Erickson is an industrial designer with extensive experience in both design and manufacturing. He has worked with artists, architects, private clients and corporations to design, manufacture and deliver small to large scale projects across the UK and Europe. Keefer is Managing Director of Cake Industries.

Andy Creed studied architecture before becoming a model maker for a large London architecture practice. He moved on to making furniture, working up from the shop floor to become a director of a successful London cabinet making business for ten years. Andy heads up our timber fabrication team and is Operations Director for Cake Industries.

David Knight MA (Cantab) MEng CEng MICE MIStructE is a chartered structural and civil engineer, with extensive experience as a design consultant working closely with architects to design and project manage bridges, buildings and moving structures. David heads our design services and is Director of Design and Engineering.

The directors are supported by a team of specialist craftspeople and designers who all believe in the Cake Industries approach to quality and excellence.
