New footbridge, submitted for planning
We are really excited to share renders of our proposal for a new footbridge at Canada Water that has been submitted for detailed planning permission.
We are working closely with Carter Gregson Gray to deliver a new bridge and playful promenade that will traverse the Albion Channel at Canada Water for ARTINVEST. The bridge will add to the public realm investment in Canada Water as part of AIRE’s redevelopment plans for the dock edge. Inspired by the history of the former docks, the new crossing offers residents and visitors a new perspective; a place to pause and reflect on the water’s edge. Contributing to the area’s ongoing transformation, the bridge replaces an existing narrow bridge with a generous, accessible deck.
Cake Engineering are delivering bridge and structural engineering services to the team, supported by A-squared Studio Engineers and Simple Works . Fabrication will be carried out by our sister company Cake Industries.
We are looking forward to continuing to work on this project as we bring it forward for construction.
Excellent renders by Carter Gregson Gray.
